international organization for standardization. They create international standards in many areas, including computers and communications.

The term "ISO" is not actually an acronym for anything. It is a pun on the Greek prefix "iso-", meaning "same"

ISO is a system that is to be recorded and just followed. Say If I record myself that I will eat regularly at 9 AM and on Monday morning only Iddlys, If I eat before or after that time it is non-conformity and if I eat on Monday other than Iddly it is also a non-conformity. For that I have the liberty to change the time and item and it is to be recorded and followed as it is. In temples the pooja timings and any other procedures need not be change for the ISO purpose. Certainly it is the officials that changed in guise of ISO. ISO has no fixed norms and whatever norms are there it is to be followed systematically with record. For betterment can be changed and to be recorded.
