Okay, So I recently had my first paycheck from my new job mailed to me, the problem is though that the address that I put for it to be sent to me is wrong because I accidently mixed up some numbers ( i just moved here) therefore the letter should be undelivered. I know that the place that it should come back to is within a 10 mile distance from me. I also know that the check should have been delivered by last Friday ( June 24th ) because that' when all of my coworkers said they got their checks. Can anyone give me an estimate about when the check should be returned to the sender since they aren't very far ( LITERALLY 15 MINUTES AWAY ) I need that check!
Thanks in advance!!

P.S. I already tried getting in contact with my local post office but they did not pick up.

There is no standard amount of time to wait. You may be only 15 minutes away but the nearest sorting facility might be hundreds of miles away. Last week I received two checks back in the mail that the company I work for sent out. Both letters had to go approx. 500 miles, one was sent the week before the other was sent back in December. You are pretty much at the mercy of the USPS. It's better to ask the company that you work for to issue a stop payment on the check and reissue a new one. Plus, if it's delivered to the wrong address and the person who receives it decides to cash it you probably wont get your money back and the person will have the information for your companies payroll checking account. Better safe than sorry.

i comprehend basically what you propose. i bought my domicile in US 8 years in the past and a few people who lived right here beforehand that still use this handle and the law enforcement officials contain warrants for a number of them on a familiar foundation. I ask the postal provider and get a so what. I mark the object return to sender - not at this handle - please get rid of this handle out of your archives. all and sundry basically ignores that as they're too lazy to do their activity and you circulate to penal complex in case you throw away mail. basically mark out your handle and positioned it returned into the post field with out remark and this forces the post workplace adult males to do their activity and deliver it returned and value for the provider.
