Absolutely. Internet was going up $11 from $25. Got talked into adding Uverse voice. Not told about fees and minite limits. First bill was $214.89. Two people told me the installation fee would be waived. third person only would credit $49. Took 17 days and 8 calls to get land line back. Took another 10 days and 8 calls to get my 3rd party long distance carrier added. Meanwhile toll calls were blocked. Customer service reps know nothing. Internet now double what I was paying before.

yes their customer service sucks anymore!!! It doesn't matter if you call or chat online, they put you through 10 different agents & leave you on hold for really long time periods & I have been hung up on quit a few times after being on hold for a good while. I can't believe a phone company that has been around for so long can have such bad customer service. What a shame!!! I hear a lot of complaints about AT&T anymore & not just customers but from their workers also. Sad they must think they're the only company to offer these services.

I had DSL and paid with autopay. I was persuaded to switch to DSL - said to be cheaper and faster. Not faster and, actually more expensive, after the first 12 months. But the worst was that AT&T tried to bill me for both services for the same days. I had discontinued autopay on DSL because I would not pay for services not rendered. It's been 7 long phone calls with customer service and billing representatives who promise to help but just read inane scripts no matter what you say trying to get this fixed. I even received a notice from a collection agency dated 13 days after the duplicate bill was supposedly due! Interesting that the collection agency was stating that I owed only the original amount of the bill with no "late fee" added. That's so outrageous that a disinterested observer would be inclined to think that sending such an actively disputed and obviously incorrect on its face item to a collection agency was malicious rather than another one of AT&T's frequent mistakes.

We have had AT&T for years. It is getting worse every day. We have DSL. Uverse is not offered in our area and won't be for a long time. If we quit, we can't go back our DSL is being discontinued. I keep getting error messages that I have no internet. I've called so many times it is disgusting. I had one young man that was helpful and one that came to the house. My internet still comes and goes. The customer service center is terrible. They put me on hold for a long time then another person comes on and says can I help you. It is getting very old. I am tired of paying a high price for garbage service. I took a survey on the phone, I gave them a one on everything. They didn't even call back to ask why. My advice is to STAY AWAY FROM AT&T. .

Sales Sales Sales. It s not enough they spam my post office box with all their Uverse garbage, they send people around the neighborhood door to door on at least a monthly basis with some schtick about upgrading cables in the neighborhood yadda yadda yadda trying to sell more stuff. No matter how many times we tell them to not come back or how many people we meet and swiftly turn around coming up the driveway they still keep coming. We berated someone 3 nights ago that showed up and AGAIN today someone comes trying to sell. Enough already! From now on I will just call law enforcement and have them trespassed off my property. Where is the do not "call" for people arriving at my door?

When we closed out our AT&T no one told us we needed to return boxes from Uverse internet/phone account.
Now, after we have moved from house and cannot get boxes - we get a letter stating we will be fined$150 for not returning them. I think this is another way to stick it to their customers. Direct TV is very explicit about returning cards when their account was closed. How do we know AT&T wants this equipment back? Also, it probably won't be used again. What a waste of our money?

Got a quote for the Note 4 from AT&T chat at $129.00. Could not get into my ATT. went to the store 2 days later with the quote in hand and was told they could not honor it. Went back online and was on chat with a different person who did not ask as many questions as first chat person, was told that they had no record of the offer and that the price would be &299.00. Both the store and the second chat wanted me to change my plan as I had unlimited data. Stated they do not offer that anymore, but I will not give it up. Need to find the CEO's number or e mail to register a complaint.

Yes over the weekend I sought help via "chat" to link my wireless, home phone and internet, I was transferred between the same to reps, and felt as though they where vying to see who could be the most obnoxious.

I canceled my landline service in July and was owed a refund. When I called customer service to find out when I would receive it I got the run around and was told that it would take 30 days to receive it. I waited the 30 days and called back and was again given the run around. After looking on line it said it would take up to 60 days. As of today I have not received my refund or heard from AT&T telling me what is going on. I also sent customer service a letter explaining the situation and still I have not heard from them.
They claim to be so good but they don't seem to be concerned about consumers and their product. The people who I talked too in customer service were really uninformed as to what to do and how to do it.

This is normal for most companies like AT&T. You need to read the fine print on promos because the fine print always explains all the exceptions to the rule. This is why huge corporations have large marketing teams - they specifically advertise and market ads to entice you to order NOW without reading the fine print. Prorated bills are standard for utility companies, you will pay for the amount of days in the current billing cycle and then an additional full month in advance. You didn't mention is you signed up on line or if you called in to place your order. Reason is the order processing is done by a different department if you ordered on line - the call center reps don't have access to the same offers that you can order on-line.
As far as having to call 28 times, that is legitimate as well. Large companies like AT&T probably have over 30 call centers across the U.S. plus an additional 5 international call centers in places like India, Philippines or Mexico where if you are canceling your service or have a billing question they are trained to only do so much - and they have access to only a certain level of credit they are authorized to give. That means you're left waiting until a supervisor approves your credit request - which can fall through the cracks and you have to end up calling back.
The way to get around this is to call the public utilities commission and file a complaint. You WILL get an answer ASAP from AT&T. PUC complaints are registered and the company can be penalized with steep fines if complaints are not handled in a timely manner.

Yes, I went to the Perimeter store (aka the Idiot Bar) with a minor issue on my 4s. After playing wit it claiming he was an expert, he managed to wipe out my e-mail. I was told to change my yahoo pass word the e-mail would "come back". Guess what, it never did, the moron at the Idiot bar (at&t) had no clue to what he was doing and the pathetic excuse of a manager said that this clown was an "expert". To make a long story short, I went to the apple store and the problem was fixed in less than 5 minutes. The moral of this story, if you have an I phone problem..stray away from the so called experts at AT&T if that;s where your phone came from. They don't support their products or customers. The are totally useless and have no idea how things work.

I have called every month for a year because my bill changes each month. Each time they change the bill, but if I didn't call and have them correct it, I would have paid an extra $500 last year. They are have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They know they don't have to take care of their customers because we are under a contract with them. I can't wait till my contract expires

Yes - My cell is not working correctly - I Have a post office Box - the customer service could not tell who was going to ship my phone to me - they could not even use BOTH physical or Post office address - so chances are my phone with be returned by the carrier that receives it. One remark that was made by it is my problem since i have a 2 different address - but they we not affraid to say that if the broken phone was not recd with 10 days i would be charged 250. or more. we have use at&t for years and this is the way they treat them customers

I had my phone and computer go out on a Thursday and made an appointment for some one to come out on Fri. morning between 8 and 12,
they showed up at 2:30 pm on Sat., needless to say I was not a happy camper, you would of thought that if you missed your appointment they would have called and come the first thing the next morning, but no one called I had to call them several times to find out what was happening, and no one had an honest answer for me, I was put on the back burner and had to wait. I can't wait to get out of my contract with them.

What s with AT&T not being able to change the rings before it goes to their voice mail? Mine is on 3 rings and as age is catching up with me I d like it to ring a bit more before voice mail picks it up. Is it so hard or impossible in this day and age with all the advance made?????
