DHL - Shipment On Hold/Possible Delay In Delivery...Why? (Need Help Urgently)?

I ordered 3 DVDs from the country artist Keith Urban as a Christmas present for my brother last friday and everything was going fine until Sunday night when I checked on the DHL website to track my items it said Shipment on hold in Hamilton Ontario and then I went on Amazon.com to check there as well and on there it says "possible delay in delivery due to extra carrier processing" would that be considered a bad thing? I don't understand why there should be a delay at this time because I should be getting it tomorrow but now it's not looking to good with this latest update. Also has anyone ever had this message come up while tracking an item and if you did, did you get your items delivered eventually and how long did it take?

As far as a real answer...Could be several things going one. The first and most obvious is that's it's an EXTREMELY busy time of year for shipping services. They could be subcontracting out packages, meaning it goes so far with DHL and then they send it out to a local company to finish the delivery so they can do more long-distance shipping and stay caught up on the big stuff.



Another thing might be customs; you said it's stuck in Ontario - are you in the U.S. or are you in Canada? If you're in the U.S., everything has to go through customs, there could be some paperwork error or something going on that's holding it up at customs.



It could also be a myriad of other things like improper labeling or the package broke open and they're repacking it.



You can check with DHL, they may or may not be able to tell you what exactly is holding it up but it doesnt' hurt to ask. I'd also contact Amazon and request a refund on shipping. If they gave you a date or said it would be there in time for Christmas then they'll likely honor that and do what they can to make it right.

Awww, that's so sweet. <333 I was dissapointed that the album was delayed, but they're going through a lot right now. Hopefully the stalkers go to jail. xP
