How do I tell if I got scammed on eBay?

I'm completely new to eBay. Last night I bought (using PayPal only) a pair of headphones costing over $200, the seller was based in Toronto, Ontario and also I has a store based there (I googled it haha), they had a positive feedback score of 99.1% and a feedback score of 244, so it seems pretty legit. I'm only concered because just now when I checked the item I bought, the listing was entirely gone.

I was never given a tracking number and i can;t seem to find the item number. When I go to purchase history and click the item I bought all I get is this: This listing was removed by eBay. If you already paid for the item, we recommend that you wait 10 days from the expected delivery date to see if the item arrives. If you did not pay,you are no longer obligated to pay for this item. If you have a problem with the purchase, you can resolve the problem by filing a claim through our resolution center.

When I bought the item there were 2 available and it's been like they for a few weeks before I bought them.

From what I hear eBay and PayPal are horrible at helping people who get scammed, so if I did get scammed I'm worried I won;t get much help.

Do exactly as suggested by eBay. Wait the ten days. If you hear nothing then file a dispute to get your money back.

Did you check the sellers feedback page? If they have been booted off by eBay it will say Not a Registered User. Sometimes listings get removed by mistake. eBay depends on users to report what they think is fake or a rip off. Those users are not always right. eBay/PayPal are VERY good at giving a buyer their money back. It's the sellers that have a hard time of it.
