I have a question which led to a perennial debate with my friend,
Why do top companies recruit only people from top universities.
Does it mean that other students cannot think out of the box???
In what ways is this apt and justifiable.

My opinion here is top companies prefer such people because knowledge becomes an asset for a organization for innovation and research and hence such competent graduates are required to keep business running with top standards.

Please explain. I am eager to know others opinion here in this forum.

They hire students from top universities because they think that they have already crossed the first hurdle and they can quickly conceive the things which are taught them while training.

The reason behind selecting top universities student because the company already has a type up with universities. And now what is the type up between university and company nobody knows?

And its not only universities student have knowledge. Each and every bright student has knowledge no matter from where he had done his graduation? And somewhere I agree university studies are good as compare to college.

Top Universities = knowledgeable students. Knowledge is power and you know students at top universities work really hard to get in there and study in there so for top companies, in order to gain top notch knowledge you need a strong dedication and hard work to achieve it and that's what top companies are looking for. It also makes easier for them to find the right candidate for their company by hiring graduates from top universities.
