Very important to me in deciding whether or not to get it. It's going to be for my grandmother and me and she watches a few Amazon original shows and I enjoy listening to Amazon prime music and reading kindle books, so it's very important that they have these in the app store.

Amazon Kindle Reader - YES - get the free app from Google Play and register it to your Amazon account. However any free one Prime book per month may require Amazon hardware.

Amazon Music - YES - get the free app from Google Play and register it to your Amazon account. You may need to install the Amazon Shopping app first. Re Prime "Listen Anywhere. Your Prime Music collection is available anytime and stored securely in the cloud. Listen on a wide range of devices including Fire tablets, iOS, Android, PC and Mac."

Amazon Prime Video - not sure. I think they changed it so you can stream on other devices. "It’s always prime time when your options include blockbuster films and popular TV shows. Watch on your TV, laptop, Fire TV or choice of more than 600 devices." You may need to install the Amazon Shopping app first, then Amazon Video app.

The answer is yes - but might I suggest she would be better off with a Kindle Fire HDX (or HD) instead? The interface is very simple and the overall operation might be easier. Also, the newest Fire tables have a "mayday" function she can use to have an Amazon rep directly assist her.

You can do it but, you have to tweak it, install some apps to make it work. Better read about it to see if you want to go through the trouble.
