Dells competitive edge has always been its ability to customize the equipment on the assembly line. This streamlines the process, these savings are then passed to the buyer. As far as their computers they are all pretty much the same as other Intel computers.

Yes they do name brand is their best in my opinion. Everyone knows dell and mostly it is the first name when you think computer. As for product mix. They offer a computer for almost anything under the sun and they have done a great job in making it low cost production.
